OK, by the way, I had to rewrite the Linux and Solaris parts of Chapter 2 -- 
they were copied and pasted directly from the MySQL Manual.  that's a big 
no-no -- the manual is copyrighted.  :(

Yes, I know that the material was very close to what was in the manual. I
intended to go back over it before you got to it.

Not making excuses and I am sorry you had to rewrite those parts. One
thing about this..if I ever do this again I will be much wiser in terms of
schedule :)

Actually the first sections were exact copy and pastes -- the Linux and Solaris
installs.  I figured it was something you copied and pasted at first to use as 
a guide, and then forgot what you'd done and realized it read OK.  I just 
wanted to let you know in case you hadn't realized that's what happened.
